A two-hour drive northeast of the Cancún airport and short Ferry ride across from a small town called Chiquilá, lies the gorgeous island of Hobox (pronounced Ol’ Bosh)which is located north of the Yucatán Peninsula. It rests in the Gulf of México and has crystal clear, calm turquoise waters. There are no waves and you can spot many fishes swimming around you while you walk through the serene surf. The island doesn’t allow cars but you can find many golf carts or ATV’s that are taxis where you can get around the island.
